Amanda Horvath Art
Amanda is a contemporary artist creating inspirational colourful paintings from the natural world full of texture, beauty and life. She loves painting landscaped bright with colour and contrasts of tone capturing the ethereal quality of light filtering through trees, imparting the sense of peace and calm of these quiet places. This affinity with nature has grown from childhood and past experiences. The creative process begins outdoors and then in the studio, working intuitively painting impasto techniques in layers applied with a palette knife. Harnessing optical mixing techniques employed by the impressionists with scumbling and glazing, Amanda continues working until the painting reaches a natural conclusion. She works expressively using palette knives and brushes resulting in paintings that lie somewhere between abstraction and realism. Amanda is influenced by contemporary artists who work from nature and her paintings have found homes with collectors worldwide.
