Expressive ink abstracts mostly, occasionally producing acrylic pieces and mixed media (ink and newspaper, acrylic and newspaper, or just ink or just acrylics). My method is automatic, I do not plan what i am doing, i am led by the way the ink bleeds onto the page. From there i play with shapes, form and colour to produce something somewhat balanced, abstract and expressive of how i am feeling at the time. I’m told a lot of my work provokes feelings of anxiety, it’s not a surprise as this is usually how i feel when i have the need to make a mess in the studio.
