This painting was inspired by a wonderful photo taken by the renowned garden photographer Clive Nichols, of the gardens at Killerton.
They provided the perfect backdrop for this seated girl. I imagine she has had her walk and is taking in the view whilst pondering on how Civid 19 has affected her life. The blackbird is there as a reminder that nature carries on around us.
